JSX Typefaces

This tutorial explains how to install and use animated typefaces in the JSX format.

The library folder shown in the video can be any folder on your computer. Simply create a new folder wherever you like and give it a good name. Then go to the settings-tab in Font Manager and assign the folder as the library.

You can change the stagger, alignment and layer order even after your type is created. Just select the controller layer and click any of the corresponding icons in Font Manager to update your text.

Font Manager uses lots of expressions to link everything together. Unfortunately too many expressions can slow down your project file.

Uncheck 'Add individual controls' in the settings to significantly reduce the amount of expressions. In most cases it won't make a notable difference, but for typefaces with lots of controls - such as Lovelo or Zercon - it can make everything more responsive.
